Fashion critic Richard Blackwell dies in Los Angeles

The acerbic American fashion critic known simply as Mr Blackwell, who invented the notorious annual Worst-Dressed List and lampooned everyone from Zsa Zsa Gabor to Britney Spears, has died in Los Angeles.

Mr Blackwell, who rarely used his first name, Richard, was a failed Hollywood actor turned little-known dress designer when he issued his first tongue-in-cheek list of Hollywood fashion disasters for 1960 – long before the likes of the blogger Perez Hilton turned such ridicule into a lucrative business.

Pamela Anderson Weds for Piligrim

Music Video Brides - Pamela Anderson Weds for Piligrim (GALLERY)

In a new music video for Pilgrim, Pamela Anderson will walk down the aisle once again.

The serial bride slipped into another white wedding dress to star in a film clip for Piligrim’s song, “Rave of Motors”.

The former Baywatch star was reportedly payed US $200,000 for the brief appearance in the music video.

Pamela Anderson looked every bit the professional as she walked down the aisle during the shoot. So she should, given that the 41 year old has had three weddings of her own.

Her most recent marriage to Rick Salomon, who is best known as Paris Hilton’s co-star in that notorious sex tape, was annulled in March, after lasting just five months.

Perhaps the most famous music video bride is Mariah Carey in “We Belong Together”.

Wal-Mart's fashion show previews back-to-school

Wal-Mart Stores Inc presented a colorful, casual line of youthful looks for kids and teens on Saturday at a fashion show that previewed the mass-market chain's new low-cost offerings for back to school.

The world's largest retailer has been careful not to accentuate the fashion quotient in its clothing offerings this year ever since a disastrous push into more stylish gear in late 2005 alienated its core customers looking for basics.
